The CoCo project took part in the Wolves Across Borders Conference, which brought together experts, policymakers, and community representatives from Europe and beyond to discuss the latest developments in wolf ecology and management, as well as the challenges and opportunities of coexistence.

Several members of the CoCo team were actively involved in the sixth Dinaric Balkan Pindos Platform Conference, which brought together government officials, experts and stakeholders from ten countries to discuss the shared challenges of managing large carnivores in the Dinaric-Balkan-Pindos region.

This online event discussed the European Commission’s proposal to modify the conservation status of the wolf in the European Union, changing it from “strictly protected” to “protected”. CoCo’s project coordinator John Linnell presented the concept of coexistence promoted by the project.
